We are pleased to announce that Karatzas & Partners advises National Bank of Greece (NBG) on its long-term exclusive bancassurance agreement with Allianz Greece and its acquisition of a 30% stake in Allianz Greece.

The transaction marks a strategic milestone for NBG, giving it exclusive distribution rights in Greece for a leading global insurer’s products, along with a substantial equity stake, ensuring the partnership’s long-term success.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of the requisite regulatory approvals, and the distribution of insurance solutions through NBG’s banking channels is expected to commence early 2027.
