Our Senior Associate Andriani Ferti delivered a presentation in the 2nd Scientific Conference on Competition Law. Her presentation focused on a practical overview of the antitrust cases the European Commission is investigating, or has decided upon, against Google, and more generally in relation to online platforms and their relation to EU competition law, taking into consideration Andriani’s previous active involvement in the relevant cases before the European Commission. In her presentation Andriani examined issues pertinent to competition law that arise in the relevant sector such as market definition related to Internet markets, measuring market power of online platforms in the relevant markets, as well as any particularities that may exist with respect to establishing an abusive practice contrary to Article 102 TFEU by a dominant online platform.
