Skouries: Greece’s Landmark Mining Project in the Global Spotlight.

We were honoured to participate in the World Association of Mining Lawyers’ 10th Annual Conference, at the invitation of Hellas Gold S.A. Our partner, Christina Faitakis, joined the panel “Mining in Greece: The Eldorado Story – Legal Challenges on the Journey to Production”.

Drawing on her experience advising Hellas Gold S.A. on significant project financing matters relating to the development of the Skouries Project, Christina shared with Natalie Kedikoglou (Eldorado Gold), Constantinos Lambadarios (Lambadarios Law Firm) and Ronen (Ro) Lazarovitch (Bracewell) insights into the legal and financing challenges associated with bringing a complex mining project back on track after years of delay, ultimately enabling its restart and progression toward production.
