On November 27th, our Tax Senior Associate, Eleonora Ligoutsikou, attended a thought-provoking event hosted by the Tax Committee of SDEE and presented the Committee’s extensive work in developing a comprehensive tax map for law firms—a strategic guide designed to help law firms and lawyers confidently navigate the intricate tax landscape.

Focus was given on the tax implications associated with several features of the law firms, such as their unique company type, the sui generis contributions made by the partners, the profits distribution and the liability allocation. The presentation was an excellent opportunity to delve deeper into the practical challenges faced by the legal community and explore solutions that bridge the gap between tax complexities and actionable insights.

Kudos to the Tax Committee and SDEE altogether for spearheading such impactful initiatives, including this event, and for fostering collaboration across professionals in the field.
