Karatzas & Partners advises Piraeus Bank on a PPP project for the financing of 17 school units in Central Macedonia, Greece

We are advising Piraeus on the financing of the development of 17 school units in Central Macedonia, Greece, through a public private partnership scheme. The project, awarded by Ktiriakes Ypodomes S.A. to the consortium Metlen Energy & Metals S.A. – ATESE S.A. for a period of 27 years, stands as one of Greece’s largest PPP initiatives in the educational sector with a strong social impact as it enhances educational facilities in Central Macedonia addressing the needs of 5,000 students.

Our team led by partner Christina Faitakis and senior counsel Sophia Mavridou was supported by senior associate Athena Economou and associate Anastasia Mourmouti, with the assistance from senior associate Katerina Toumpanou, associates Nikos Kazantzidis and Aris Papadopoulos, and trainee lawyer Magda Komi.
