Our firm proudly acts as legal advisor to European Investment Bank (EIB), Eurobank and National Bank of Greece, in connection with a secured bond issuance by the 100% subsidiary of PPC Renewables – ΔΕΗ Ανανεώσιμες, for the construction of a photovoltaic park with a total installed capacity of 200 MWp in Kozani, Western Macedonia, Just Transition region.
This financing is part of a wider funding cluster for the construction of a portfolio of photovoltaic parks with a total installed capacity of 230 MWp in Western Macedonia, backed up by the InvestEU Programme, in support of the ambitious Greek National Energy and Climate Plan.
This investment is one of the largest and most significant solar energy projects in Greece, paving the way for the phasing out of the coal-fired power plants of PPC. Another step towards Greece’s green recovery and reduction of its carbon footprint to meet the European Union climate targets by 2050.
