Karatzas & Partners advised SIDMA SA, one of the leading Greek companies in the field of trading and industrial processing of steel products, in obtaining merger control clearance from the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) for the acquisition of sole control over part of BITROS STEEL S.A., a competitor of SIDMA, through the acquisition of assets and liabilities relating to the field of trading and industrial processing of steel products. This complex concentration was cleared unconditionally by the HCC on July 21, 2020, it was related to the markets for distribution of flat steel and long steel products and was effected in the context of the wider debt restructuring of the relevant undertakings.
